McCain's Appeal I lay awake last night, for some reason unable to sleep until 7am this morning, so I was forced to think of things over and over. One thing I was able to figure out was why people like McCain. There are three main reasons. 1. He's not too smart which puts millions at ease because they are not too bright either. If they were they would not consistantly vote against their own interests. They spout MSM talking points as if they are facts. This also explains why they felt as if they could enjoy a beer with Bush but not Kerry. Bush & McCain like to think they are funny and so do most people. Kerry was way too serious and didn't seem to have a sense of humor. Not that there was or is really anything to laugh about these days. 2. McCain has painted himself as a maverick and the MSM has bought into it. Most people like to think they too are mavericks. In fact McCain can not remember where he stands on most issues and thus contradicts himself every other day depending on who he is speaking to. He has no grounding principles; he says he is a Christian but I've yet to see him in a photo op coming out of church. He says he is a fiscal conservative yet is not concerned that his Republicans are the party of over-whelming deficit spending. He believes in trickle-down Reaganomics but doesn't need to worry or wait for his bit to trickle-down; he has got his. His and a few hundred other peoples. 3. Obama on the other hand, we all know, is smarter than most of us which threatens some people. He also seems to have a sense of humor and enjoys what he is doing, loves his family and seems sincere in his faith. How many of us, religious or atheists can say as much? I will be happy happy when November 4th rolls around and I can stop thinking about people like McBush & Cheney, McCain & Sarah Barracuda. Either happy or dead by my own hand because I truly cannot take anymore of McSame.

This shouldn't be part of our politics, it has no relevance to governor Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18. And how family deals with issues and teenage children that shouldn't be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that is off limits. MacDries says, "Go ahead, take the high road Barack. I won't. I'm not as kewl as you." It Just Keeps Getting Better Now Palin's underage, unmarried daughter is pregnant. And Palin does have some shotguns. We don't know how old the father is but it's possible that statutory rape could come into play according to Alaska law. Go HERE. Palin however says she would not support abortion even in the case of rape. Even if her daughter were raped. It's just an American family story. Life happens is the line of the day.
