	8/30/07 Scary Someone just buzzed me with an indecipherable message about a girl on a bike... so I went to the window to see who was buzzing. No one was there but on the street was a dark haired teenager in a bicycle accident. Of course I thought it was Emma. Looked for her bike and it was gone. Maybe at mom's. I couldn't remember. Ran down the street and into the huddle around the young girl obviously in shock. The cops were there. It was not Emma. YouTube's Demise So many bad videos with jerky playback and amateur editing and out of sync audio will soon take it down. Homophobia v. Politics OK, we got 2 Republican Senators, Vitter & Craig. I spend a few hours a day on the Internet and occasionally feel I should knock it off or at least cut back. However I have come to realize it is not a waste of time. The internet combines many formerly separate activities: the newspaper, the library, shopping, communicating, bookkeeping, entertainment, advertising ones products, keeping archives, mapping, etc. And it does it all faster and easier than before. Emma made me 4 CD mixes. 66 @ 66 My sister Sybella told me that Ma was canning tomatoes that day and she had to take over while Ma went upstairs to have me. The smell of fresh tomatoes came with my first breath. This explains my love of tomatoes. Sybella changed me that night and said my product was milky white so I doubt they fed me any of the fruit that day.

Not that I have the type of investments that they represent. I have a friend who actually works for hedge funds; I asked her to explain them to me. She didn't have a clue but she is making money as an employee. So who cares. I used to have students whose parents discouraged them from studying Art because it's more of a loss leader's life than a financial opportunity. 	8/13/07 And So Is This Election I'm from Iowa which was a great place to grow up. It now uses migratory workers and has a few Mexican reataurants. It is still 96% caucasian. I said "Hi" to two black people before I moved to South Dakota after HS where they had "Indians" and a huge percentage of the prison population were Native Amaericans. New Hampshire is even whiter than Iowa. And South Carolina is the state that got the whole secessionist thing a rolling. The civil war ended a hundred plus years ago. They seldom lynch black people anymore. the law doesn't allow it. How is it that 3 such unrepresentative states out of 50 became and persist in being the bellweather of who becomes serious Presidential timber. Florida, Ohio, Illinois, New York, california, Michigan all would better represent a cross section of the population. 	8/7/07 The Fly In The Google At some point Google has more in-active links than active, so when someone has moved as I recently did after 10 years there will be a list of bad links. I hope Google is working on refreshing their database as well as they have done compiling it. If not it will be like the last warehouse scene in Indiana Jones. The Eunuch!
