	10/22/09 Rain Man Caught this flic on TiVo last night, expecting to not watch it through. I was surprised to see the much abused Tom Cruise do an actual good job playing an un-appealing character. He does this very well in many films. And Dustin Hoffman is impeccable. Follow Jessica Go HERE.
	10/21/09 Last Night Watched the 4th game of the ALCS, mostly cuz Gretchen is such an Angels fan(atic). Haven't ever watched a game of baseball or football in my adult life. What struck me most was how closely baseball and television are connected. It's all an extended commercial with hardly a second on screen without a product placement or logo selling you something. Not to mention the ties with all the sports announcers, news coverage, etc. which amounts to free advertising. A lot of back scratching and sports is one of the two industries exempted from anti-trust laws. And unlike tennis the new technology allows an overrule of a bad call but doesn't make it active.

She has gotten too cutesy and repetitive and feels she has to explain things because her audience is too dumb to get the subtleties of what is obvious.
